Position Description

The Knoxbrooke Board is seeking expressions of interest from individuals, preferably with previous Board experience, looking to contribute at a governance level.

The Board meets bi-monthly, six times a year and may involve additional sub-committee commitments.

This is a great opportunity to work with an organisation who has delivered supports in the community since 1966.

Headquartered in Bayswater and operating within the Outer Eastern and West Gippsland regions of Melbourne, our vision is that people of every ability can safely live a life that’s meaningful and rewarding.

A not-for-profit organisation, Knoxbrooke receives NDIS funding from the Federal government, with the balance of income generated from our significant social enterprise operations.

With new leadership at the helm, Knoxbrooke is delivering on a 2024-26 Strategic Plan that will achieve organisational unification, financial sustainability and ensure our clients continue to be at the centre of everything we do.

Selection Criteria

Specifically, the Knoxbrooke Board is seeking interest from candidates who are subject matter experts in one or more areas of:
• Finance
• Technology / IT
• Philanthropy and fundraising

• Applicants with lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply
• Applicants from culturally diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Applicants must be residents of Victoria, with the ability to attend Board activity in person if required.
• Non-Executive Director tenure is 3 years and is a voluntary position.
• Non-Executive Directors are required to obtain a satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening check and will be subject to an active Director Identification Number, Banned & Disqualified check and two referees
