External Independent Member Audit & Risk Committee - Expression of Interest

Moira Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest for suitably qualified external independent members to join the Audit and Risk Committee in October 2024 for an initial term of three years.

The Committee comprises of a maximum of five external independent members and two Administrators who meet each quarter with members of Councils executive team and internal auditors.

All Audit and Risk Committee Meetings are held at the Council Offices in Cobram and the successful candidate is expected to attend in person, including the next scheduled meeting at 9am Thursday 17 October. Virtual attendance is allowed with prior notice to the Chairperson.

Having senior experience in corporate governance and an awareness of the complexity of local government service delivery and infrastructure challenges would be desirable.
